Either catch a cab or bus from Matiatia to Oneroa, and in 5 minutes you'll be relaxing on the deck, or build up a thirst and walk from the ferry in 15 minutes. Sand Bar is located downstairs next to Waiheke Wine Centre, on Ocean View Road, Waiheke Island.

Originally a courtyard ice cream parlour, Sand Bar was designed and re-built by its owners John and Kim McMahon in 2004. Since then Sand Bar has grown and was extended to incorporate a lounge area in 2006.

Sand Bar has become a popular venue of varied entertainment, hosting live acts, DJ's and special events throughout the year. With an extensive wine and cocktail list and a seasonal bar menu, Sand Bar is a great spot to relax in both Summer and Winter, catering for all moods any time.
